Ideally we'd have the ability to set reminders for individual tasks. My nonprofit organization currently uses and are looking to move to RTM, but might have to put this hold as this is a feature we use regularly. In fact, the "Setting reminders" section of led me to believe this feature was already in place. It's such an intuitive feature that it never occurred to me that RTM didn't have it for individual tasks until I was setting up my first list. What have they said about this? Have they given a reason why this has not been implemented yet? Regards, PaulÄitto. Pro Users: I assume you have asked RTM support about this.

Since it currently does not have this ability, and I doubt it will happen in the next 14 days when my trial is over, I will be looking for another task manager. I am even MORE surprised that this feature has been requested for so long and has not been implemented! RTM: What is the deal with implementing different reminders at the individual task level? Why has this common feature of todo list/task managers not been implemented in RTM? I absolutely need this feature implemented in order to be able to use RTM as my task manager. I was quite surprised that RTM doesn't allow this now.

This one thing alone will prevent me from purchasing the Pro upgrade. I have just started the 15 day trial period right now and I was about to purchase the subscription when I noticed that I could not set up individual reminders for my tasks.

Hi All, I'm new to RTM and I am currently using the Android App on my Droid. I think tags and smartlists lay a foundation for reminders that could be extremely powerful for the end user without being that hard to code. It would be great to see Bob turn his attention to this challenge. Now that the multi-edit UI issues have been addressed here, I think that reminders may very well be the leading open issue in terms of site functionality here at RTM. While there is a great Gcal workaround (), it's too roundabout to imagine all new RTM users to set that up, and in the meantime the inadequate flexibility in the current reminder system is surely not helping to win any new users over. ranbarton says: In four years, I can hardly count how many times this natural, entirely reasonable suggestion has been put forward. To set reminders single tasks - due items overdue items on each list/tag dismissing repeat There are various others see another long timer. So if you really want it, you need to keep it alive folks.:-) Current best are Suggestions for improving the flexibility of the reminders. These are deleted at regular intervals due to "closed automatically due to a lack of responses in the past month" (originally 6 months). See for my best attempt with 103 requesters. Hi, I have been following the requests for flexibility of reminders for a number of years, there have been workarounds, but they don't really hit the spot and usually involve another program/service. In four years, I can hardly count how many times this natural, entirely reasonable suggestion has been put forward. If not, this is a thing that must be done absolutely.

Maybe i'm wrong and i haven't found out that this possibility is already displayed: if so, please tell me how to do. So it would be an useful idea if, when i select one task, from there, opening the reminder setting i can set the reminder for that single task and not a general set for all the tasks. Not every task is the same and not every task needs to be reminded the same time in advance. For instance i could need (and that happens) a reminder for one task one day before, and for another task 3 days before, and for another one 72 hours before, because for one task i need just one day to prepare it, while for another i could need 3 days or more and so on. I found one thing that should be improved: i'm quite new here, but it seems that when you set reminders in the setting section you can only set a single hour and a single day or week or whatever before for all the tasks in general, but you can't customize a single reminder for each single task.
